Angel Locsin receives sweet message from BF on her birthday

“You truly deserve every blessing you have received. Getting to know you even more makes me realize kung gaano ka-bagay ‘yung name mo sa’yo (how your name suits you perfectly),” Neil continued. (Photo: Neil Arce/Instagram)

However, Neil’s message for his girlfriend was only a small portion of Angel’s celebration.

“Thought today will be just like any other day,” Angel wrote in an Instagram post, saying that her special day just turned out to be one of the best birthday celebrations she ever had up to this day.

“Thanks for the overflowing love I received from all of you. Seriously, I’m amazed on how many of you remembered my birthday and left me wondering what I did to deserve your time and effort,” Angel wrote.

While it was a group of friends and loved ones that surprised Angel, Neil was, of course, one of those that pulled the strings for the celebration.

Meanwhile, some of the Pilipinas Got Talent’s (PGT’s) judge’s closest celebrity friends teased her about tying the knot.

Kris Aquino commented, “I already love @neil_arce. Handang-handa na ang gown kong pang-ninang (My godmother gown is already prepared).”

Angelica Panganiban also greeted Angel, saying “’Wag ka muna magpakasal! Hintayin mo muna ko magka-boyfriend, mahal kita (Do not get married yet! Wait for me to get a boyfriend, I love you).”

For months, Angel and Neil’s relationship remained a blur as the two refused to give it a label. While the actress has always been open about her status, she mentioned in several interviews that her year-long friendship with Neil may suffer, so they had to be careful.

However, just before Valentine’s Day this year, she confirmed that the two of them are finally together.
