Angel Locsin questions Robin Padilla’s political positions

PHILIPPINES – Filipino actress and humanitarian Angel Locsin sent an open letter addressed to Filipino Senator and actor Robin Padilla.

Her social media post reflects on their previous friendship while simultaneously questioning his positions on major political issues.

The actress described her disappointment over the senator’s silence when she was red-tagged in 2020. Locsin also stressed concerns regarding Padilla’s stance on China and his expressed support for Apollo Quiboloy.

Locsin reflected that she once regarded Padilla as one of the most patriotic individuals she had met, and said she was disheartened by his change in stance, especially with regard to China.

According to Locsin, both of them came from humble beginnings, began working when they were young, and earned the support of the people through their line of work.

She also noted that public servants and personalities owe their gratitude to the Filipino people and God rather than just one person.

Her letter has since drawn public attention, sparking conversations about political accountability and the growing overlap between public figures and political concerns.
