MANILA–The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) urged Wednesday the public to be ready in any emergencies by ensuring that they have “Go bags” that they can use when the situation calls for it.

“Because preparedness and safety is important, emergency items (like Go bags) must always be ready,” said DSWD Secretary Judy M.

Go bags are personal emergency supplies needed for survival during disasters or any emergency situations.

It contains essential items such as medicines, first aid kits, whistle, emergency lights, safe drinking water, food, mask, raincoat, and other important items needed for emergency survival.
