Plane lands on B.C. highway, crashes into vehicles, leaving one dead

CANADA – A twin-engine plane made an emergency landing on a road in Prince George, British Columbia, crashing into two vehicles and leaving one person dead, authorities said.
Police said the Beech King Air 200 landed on Foothills Boulevard at around 2:20 p.m. Thursday. One person inside a vehicle on the ground was killed, while possible injuries among other people on the road and aboard the aircraft were still being assessed.
Images from the scene showed the plane near the wreckage, with one vehicle ending up in a ditch.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has launched an investigation, with investigators expected to arrive in Prince George to determine what caused the aircraft to make the emergency landing.
The incident highlights the split-second danger of an aircraft emergency, not just for those in the sky, but for unsuspecting motorists below.
