MANILA, Philippines — The Palace assured the public on Monday that they respect the process and trust the Congress with its mandate amid a recently filed impeachment complaint against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
“The President fully upholds the Constitution and remains confident in the strength of our democratic institutions,” the Palace’s statement read.
“While these processes take their course, the President will continue to govern, ensuring that public services remain uninterrupted and that the work of government stays focused on improving the lives of our people.”
The complaint filed by Atty. Andre de Jesus, endorsed by Pusong-Pinoy Rep. Jett Nisay, grounds the president for alleged Constitutional violations and betrayal of public trust, among others.
