Calabarzon wage board sets pay hike consultation July 14

MANILA – The wage board in Region 4-A (Calabarzon) is set to hold a public consultation to discuss salary adjustment for the formal sector next week.
In a social media post Friday, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) 4-A said the public hearing is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noontime on July 14 at the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in Batangas.
The last wage adjustment for the region was approved over a year ago, which ranges from PHP350 to PHP470 depending on workers’ category.
The minimum wage is PHP470 for non-agricultural workers; PHP429 for agricultural workers; and PHP350 in retail and service establishments with not more than 10 workers.

The RTWPB) 4-A’s Facebook and YouTube channel will post and air updates regarding the minimum wage adjustment.
In Metro Manila, the new wage hike will take effect on July 16 — from PHPP570 to PHP610 for the non-agriculture sector; and from PHP533 to PHP573 for the agriculture sector, service and retail establishments employing 15 or less workers, and manufacturing establishments regularly employing less than 10 workers.
