QCPD orders probe on P40.8-M ‘shabu’ in drainage

MANILA — The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has ordered a probe on the discovery of six kilograms of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) unearthed from a drainage project in Barangay North Fairview on Thursday.

Joselito Esquivel Jr. said barangay captain Manuel Chua reported to Police Station 5 (PS-5) the discovery of 10 medium-sized plastic bags containing the shabu and buried on the ground.

The two men who were digging in front of the gate of Dancs Refrigerator Repair Service, owned by Danilo Sibug, at Geneva Garden Subdivision.

Sibug informed Chua of the incident, who in turn relayed the information to the police.

The QCPD chief has already ordered PS-5 commander Supt. Benjamin Gabriel Jr. to conduct a thorough investigation and gather pieces of evidence to identify those responsible for burying the illegal drugs.
