With the long-postponed reunion project of the former onscreen partners and real life lovers, Gabby Concepcion finally shared his side and stressed that the problem is not with his camp.

Earlier in February, the fans that waited for 26 years for the Sharon Cuneta and Gabby to return on screen together rejoiced after their Valentine’s-themed commercial aired.

As teasers even before the commercial that became viral, Sharon posted on her Instagram some throwback photos of their love team in their younger years. Even the proof of their love, their daughter KC Concepcion, was proud and happy for her parents who followed each other on Instagram.

Sharon even shared in an interview that at first there was an awkward air between the two of them before the shoot of the commercial since they barely contacted each other throughout the years.

However, recent developments in the 80’s love team now sadden their fans.

After the commercial’s success and hype, the teasing that started at Instagram also ended on the same online venue when Sharon deleted her photos with Gabby on her account.

Netizens have shared their disappointment through questions and comments that the Mega Star replied to. Though the comments are now deleted, some of Sharon’s replies included, “Guys, I am sorry. Star [Cinema] has done as much as they can. I have as much as I could.”

“This is hurtful to me as well. If you are upset, how do you think I feel? Star or I did not want to break your hearts. My heart is broken,” the 52-year-old actress further said.

Just to break more hearts, Sharon said that is just tired and that, “It may be hard to accept, but there may never be another Sharon-Gabby movie again. Sorry.”

While the Mega star was apologetic, her ex-husband had a bit more different response.

Gabby’s supposed statement came from the column piece by Abante journalist, Ambet Nabus.

“To clarify lang ha, wala talaga sa akin ang problema (Just to clarify, the problem is not with me),” the veteran actor insisted.

“Ever since, I am very open and cooperative sa sinasabing (with that supposed) reunion movie project na iyan,” Gabby added.

Furthermore, the columnist wrote that Gabby also said, “It’s just that our producer has laid out some items na nung sinang-ayunan ko ay hindi pala raw gusto ni (that after my approval) Sharon (did not seem to like those).”
