Two Filipino teleseryes will now be watched by the Thai community in their television screens.

One of the country’s leading television companies in Thailand, JKN Global Media bought the rights to air “The Legal Wife” and “Bridges of Love.”

“The Legal Wife” starred Angel Locsin, Jericho Rosales, Maja Salvador, and JC de Vera. Angel’s portrayal of Monica, the legal wife of Jerico’s character Adrian, her best friend and rival Nicole played by Maja, and JC’s Max hit the Filipino television screens in 2014.

In fact, Monica and Nicole’s slapping and confrontation scenes in the trailer also invaded social media, creatively transformed into memes.

CEO of JKN Global Media, Anne Jakkraphong Jakrajutatip told ABS-CBN that they syndicated “The Legal Wife” because its story “resonates with Thai family and culture.” She was referring to the importance of forgiveness amidst the hardships and challenges that the characters faced.

At the same time, the Thai television giant decided to air “Bridges of Love” that also starred Maja and Jericho, this time in the roles of Mia and Gael. Paulo Avelino joined them in the shoes of Carlos/Manuel.

“Bridges of Love” that aired in 2015, was picked up “because of its intense storyline and the interesting dynamics of the lead roles in the series” according to Jakrajutatip.

She also said that the two shoes will “conquer the hearts of Thai viewers” just like how it did with its Filipino fans.

This is the first time for “The Legal Wife” to be dubbed in a different language, while this would be the second for the “Bridges of Love” as it was already aired in Latin America through Peruvian TV station, PanAmericana.
