MANILA – here’s no more tomorrow for TNT.

Adjudged as one of the pre-conference favorites, the KaTropa have found themselves in a must-win showdown against sister team NLEX Road Warriors if they want to make it to the PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals.

In the 4:30 p.m. match at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay on Wednesday night, TNT, holding a 4-6 record, needs a win over NLEX and hope that the quotients will be in its favor to make it to the next round of the tournament.

The Road Warriors, however, also have an agenda of their own as a win will assure them, 6-4 at present, of at least the fifth seed, thereby evading the twice-to-beat disadvantage in the playoffs.

Making the Top 6 is also the goal of Rain Or Shine, but the team needs to deal with two tough teams in two straight play dates.

The Elasto Painters will first face the San Miguel Beermen also on Wednesday night in the main game at 7 p.m.

ROS, currently at 5-4, can actually go up to the third seed, but the squad needs to beat SMB on Wednesday and Ginebra on Friday to secure the said seed.

A loss against the Beermen will not just take the E-Painters out of the race for third but will also make their match against the Barangay, who are at 5-5, a virtual do-or-die affair as the loser could end up missing the playoff ride once the quotients are computed.
