He asked Paolo Duterte if he had an account at the Philippine National Bank branch in Sta. Ana, Davao City, in which Duterte responded with that of he invokes his right against self-incrimination in refusing to answer the senator’s queries, citing that it is not part of the inquiry.

He also asked them to sign a waiver that would allow their bank accounts to be investigated.

Paolo Duterte and Carpio rejected the idea of signing the waiver and neither one of them denied nor confirmed the existence of the said bank accounts.

“I’m not willing to sign the waiver. I’m not familiar with those figures,” Carpio said.
