MANILA—Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Director General Guiling Mamondiong made surprise visits to the agency’s regional offices to make sure quality skills training is being provided to students.

He conducted the unannounced inspections in Regions 1, 3 and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), as well as provincial offices, to check the equipment which need to be improved or upgraded.

As he checked the facilities of training centers, Mamondiong instructed regional and provincial directors to make an inventory of the items needed by their respective training centers.

Mamondiong also met with regional and provincial directors and had discussions with representatives of the Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) and other officials involved in skills training.

Furthermore, the TESDSA chief gave suggestions on how to come up with state of the art facilities in every training center.

Meanwhile, Mamondiong also updated the directors, employees and students on the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in the provinces and the plan to expand its facilities.
