VP Robredo set to visit typhoon affected provinces in Bicol

LEGAZPI CITY—Vice President Leni Robredo will visit the typhoon-affected provinces in Bicol from Wednesday until Friday, 10 days since typhoon Nina ravaged the region.

According to her Media Relations Officer Emmanuel Magno, Robredo will visit Catanduanes, Albay and Camarines Sur, the provinces badly hit by the typhoon.

On Wednesday morning, Robredo will be in Catanduanes and will proceed to the towns of Baras, San Andres and Bato.

In Baras, she will visit Barangays Moning and Batolinao while in Bato she is expected in Barangays Batalay and Banawang proper. In San Andres, she will visit Barangay Cabcab.

The Vice President will bring relief goods to Catanduanes to augment the help being sent there with Catanduanes Governor Joseph Cua taking charge of the distribution, said Magno.

Robredo will go to Tiwi town in Albay after her visit to Catanduanes. In Tiwi, she will meet with Mayor Jaime Villanueva and Sr. Insp. Jan King Calipay, chief of police of Tiwi Municipal Police Office.

In Tiwi, the Vice President will visit Barangays Bolo, Sogod, Lourdes, Bariis and Naga.

On Thursday, Robredo will proceed to Camarines Sur and visit Barangays Bongalon and Patitinan, both in Sangay; and the towns of Buhi and Balatan.

On Friday, she will be in the municipalities of Calabanga, Burabod, Bombon, Magarao, Canaman and Camaligan, all in Camarines Sur.
