MANILA – Kris Aquino said sorry to Batangas Governor Vilma Santos, after the former became the object of online bashing because of the misspelled words she has written in a dedication card given to Kris.

Kris said during a live telecast of “Aquino & Abunda Tonight,” that she was offended by those commenting that she posted the photo on Instagram with malice.

“Ako, I take offense doon sa nagsasabi na (against those who said that) I meant her harm by posting that. I didn’t. You know I’m a fan, you know I’m a Vilmanian,” she said.

Kris has earlier posted a photo of a dedication card given to her by Vilma which grabbed the attention of online bashers because several words written on the card were misspelled.

“Dearest Kris, Thank you sooo much for believing in me! I truely [sic] appreciate it friend… Life is short… Enjoy it – you are so bless [sic]… God is good. Smile 🙂 – Ate Vi,” read the note written on the card.

“It did not bother me,” Aquino said of the mistakes in speling. “Ako po ‘yung recipient ng card. Kung ako, noong binabasa ko, hindi ko tsinek, hindi ako nagpaka-English teacher doon sa card na ‘yon…,” Kris said.

(I was the card’s recipient. When I was reading it, I  wasn’t checking it, I was’nt being an English teacher while reading that card.)

“What touched me was the honesty, the sincerity, the genuine kindness that she showed me,” she added.
