MANILA — Illegal recruiters managed to infiltrate job fairs organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Nelson Hornilla, acting Director of DOLE – National Capital Region (NCR), noted that this happened in previous job fairs but they were able to stop them.

“There were instances where you can see some that are distributing leaflets that are not with those registered employers participating in the job fair… in previous job fairs, we found some of them,” he said.

He added, “That is what we are closely monitoring during the job fair… when we find them, we invite them and ask them to leave the premises.”

On June 12, the DOLE-NCR held the Independence Day Job Fair at the Luneta Park in Manila, where more than 35,000 local and overseas jobs were offered to Filipinos looking for work.
