CANADA – Several Philippine and Canadian companies were recognized for their contributions to strengthening trade and economic ties between the Philippines and Canada during the inaugural Philippine Trade Recognition Awards in Vancouver.
The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver, together with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center-Toronto and the Philippines Canada Trade Council, hosted the ceremony on August 21 at the Terminal City Club.
The awards recognized companies and individuals for their contributions to trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the two countries, particularly in food and beverage, diversified products, resources, and services.
Philippine Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin said the achievements of the awardees reflect growing confidence in the quality, innovation, and competitiveness of Philippine products and services.
The event also highlighted opportunities to further strengthen Philippines-Canada cooperation in trade, investment, energy, critical minerals, infrastructure, technology, and other key sectors.
The Consulate also announced the expected arrival of the first shipment of Philippine Carabao mangoes in Vancouver, opening another opportunity to expand Philippine products in the Canadian market.
