VICTORIA, British Columbia — The BC Royal Canadian Mounted Police successfully celebrated the annual National Volunteer Week, from April 19 to 25, with upstanding Canadians who dedicated their time and service to British Columbians.
This year’s theme centered on efforts to promote civic participation, rebuild volunteer infrastructure, and celebrate volunteers.
The police agency also thanked its employees and participating volunteers for their energy and effort in public service.
“These individuals are leaders who contribute to ensuring public safety throughout our communities and neighbourhoods in BC in which we live and work,” the BC RCMP said.
“Let’s celebrate their contributions. Volunteering for the RCMP is a meaningful way to have an impact on the communities we serve. The impact is felt daily and their service is valued.”
