Filipino-Canadian activist and founding president of the Filipino Canadian Congress Narima dela Cruz states in an interview with Omni News: “It takes more sacrifice and discipline now so that we are not only thinking of our retirement, but also the future of our children.”

Seven out of ten Canadians believe that it is more difficult to save for retirement now compared to the time of their parents, and 77% of the survey takers agree that it will only get more difficult for the next generation.

Dela Cruz states that this has become a top priority now along with ensuring that “a certain percentage of their earnings go to savings and investment.”
