Binay’s public satisfaction fell says SWS

MANILA – The public satisfaction rating of Vice President Jejomar Binay continues to slide down, hitting a new record low during the last quarter of 2014 according to the most recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) report.

Likewise, key state institutions’ rating also decreased.

Conducted last year from November 27 to December 1, the survey found out that 65 percent of the respondents are happy with Binay’s performance while 20 percent said they are not satisfied for a “good” 44 net satisfaction rating.

Prior to the last survey, Binay ranked “very good” at 52.

The survey was participated in by 1,800 adults across the country with a plus-or-minus 2 percent points margin of error.

In the past 18 survey since September 2010, Binay was able to receive eight “excellent,” nine “very good, and one “good” ratings, with his best last January 2013 and August 2012 sat 76.

Despite the latest survey findings, the Vice President’s camp still believe that the 65 percent of the remaining in the population are still satisfied with Binay’s performance.

“The results of the recent SWS survey clearly indicate that Vice President Binay has still the continued trust and full support of the Filipino people despite the intensified campaign of lies and pattern of deceit waged by his political detractors in the Senate to discredit his accomplishments and track record as a proven public servant,” said Rico Quicho, Binay’s new spokesman for political affairs, referring to the corruption challenges against the Vice President.

Binay has already denied his involvement in the mentioned cases. Rather, the Vice President continues to be grateful for the people who “judge him by his work” despite the rocky situation that he’s facing right now.
