And for Jeremy Sancebuche, more known as Mimiyuuuh, influencers like her should take extra care in whatever they choose to post online especially of something concerning “sensitive” topics.

With millions of eyes scanning different contents online through their respective screens, it’s no wonder that there is a rise in the number of content creators and social media influencers. But this platform limelight is not all about the number of views, hits, hearts, and comments. Influencer, Mimiyuuuh said that this comes with a certain responsibility.

With the pandemic keeping a lot of people to stay indoors and most transactions be done online, it may not be that surprising to see the spike of scrutinizing eyeballs here and there.

Social media becomes a melting pot of distraction, expression, and information. And for Jeremy Sancebuche, more known as Mimiyuuuh, influencers like her should take extra care in whatever they choose to post online especially of something concerning “sensitive” topics.

She said in an exclusive interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), that a lot of people know are “woke” or aware and knowledgeable about different issues.

Lahat po ng mga pino-post natin ay may kaakibat na responsibility kaya always think before you click (Everything we post entails a responsibility, this is why it is a must to think before you click),” she further said.

Going by her point, Mimiyuuuh then said in the same interview that no one, influencer or not, should be forced to speak up about certain issues. She said that this is especially important if someone is not aware or knowledgeable of a particular subject.

Kasi iyong maling (Because the wrong) information po na puwede nilang masabi (that they may say) may lead to [a] misunderstanding, especially if you have a big number of following,” she said.

At the same time, Mimiyuuuh also said that those who choose to speak up and use their platforms should be looked up to.

The internet culture and different communities can bring fame to different trends and persons but this is not limited to positive things. A wrong move can also be the subject of the said fame, which is why Mimiyuuh advises her co-influencers to be sincere in accepting their mistakes and airing out their apologies.

“If nagkamali po (you have done something wrong), say sorry with your all your heart tapos huwag na po ulitin (and do not do it again). Good vibes lang!” she said.

Mimiyuuuh graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising in De La Salle-College of St. Benilde. She rose to fame after her “Dalagang Pilipina” challenge became viral.
