15 more Filipinos caught Covid-19 abroad: DFA

In its latest bulletin, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said only six countries in the Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe reported new Filipino patients.

MANILA – Fifteen more Filipino have been afflicted with the infectious coronavirus disease (Covid-19) abroad, bringing the overall tally to 9,725.

In its latest bulletin, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said only six countries in the Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe reported new Filipino patients.

It also reported four new recoveries and five fatalities, raising the total to 5,760 and 708, respectively.

Compared to last week’s percentages, the total number of Filipinos who have recovered from Covid-19 slightly increased to 59.23 percent of the total confirmed cases.

Meanwhile, the percentage of those who died due to the disease remained at 7 percent.

As of this posting, there are 3,257 active cases among overseas Filipinos– 299 are getting treatment in the Asia Pacific region, 501 in Europe, 2,317 in the Middle East/Africa, and 140 in the Americas.
