Paramore’s Hayley Williams praises SB19’s Sejun

One of the wonders of fandom is when crossovers happen. Fans can enjoy the collaborations that bring new content or just the concept of two or more icons meshing over something. Well, with that, fans of the music of American rock band Paramore and Filipino group SB19 may just have had the best experience when its leads had a sweet interaction.

It was on August 4 when P-pop group SB19’s lead Sejun posted a short acoustic cover of Paramore’s “Turn It Off,” where he tagged the American singer and thanked her for their music.

Williams reposted the one-minute-and-10-second-video, calling it a “stunning cover.”

“Thanks for sharing this with all of us. Your voice is beautiful and I loved hearing someone sing these words back to me today,” she wrote to Sejun.

“Mighta needed it more than i care to admit,” Williams added, ending the tweet with a heart emoji.

“Your music is healing and it echoes,” was Sejun’s response to her.

“Turn It Off” is a song from Paramore’s third album, Brand New Eyes, released in 2009.

Sejun, whose real name is John Paulo Nase, is the lead vocalist and rapper of SB19, a Filipino group who rose to fame after their dance practice video went viral last year. Composed of Sejun, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin, SB19 just released their very first album, Get In The Zone.
