Trending docu “COVID-19: Nang Tumigil ang Mundo” airs on GMA Pinoy TV
After making waves on air and online last Sunday, The Atom Araullo Specials’ “COVID-19: Nang Tumigil ang Mundo” will be available again to viewers as the top-trending documentary airs this June 6 on GMA Pinoy TV.
Atom’s documentary earned the public’s admiration because of its comprehensive presentation of the different faces of COVID-19. It became the top trending topic on Twitter with netizens being moved by the vignettes on how the pandemic has altered the lives not only of Filipinos but of the rest of the world.
One netizen, @maarinelnlee, shared, “Masakit sa puso Makita ang mga kalbaryong kinakaharap ng frontliners. Salamat sa pagpapakita ng kwento nila, @atomaraullo. Sana mas maraming Pilipino pa ang mamulat nito, pati na rin ang gobyerno. Pinakamataas na pagpupugay sa mating mga frontliners! #NangTumigilAngMundo”
Meanwhile, @imeeortilano, said, “I can’t stop watching @atomaraullo’s #NangTumigilAng Mundo. Ang sakit ng puso ko. Mayaman man o mahirap, bata man o matanda—lahat apektado. Documentaries like this reminds us to be more compassionate and kind to one another.”
The COVID-19 special was really timely, said @sheenita. “@atomaraullo documentary is so relevant today. It makes us realize na ang buhay, hindi natin hawak. This pandemic change[d] our daily lives a lot. Sa isang iglap, pwedeng mawala ang lahat. Keep watching documentaries like this guys! This is an eye-opener.”
Another netizen commended the team behind the documentary. Said @jdqrbn: “#NangTumigilAngMundo emphasized different perspectives of sectors dealing with this pandemic; stories of frontliners, patients and their relatives, and the marginalized. Goosebumps. “COVID-19: Nang Tumigil ang Mundo” had been in the works since the community quarantine was implemented. Atom showed how the COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected Filipinos, most especially the poorest of the poor and the frontliners. The special documentary also featured how some of the COVID-19 survivors and their loved ones went through the ordeal of dealing with the virus.
