Amidst PH earthquakes, Korean actor Park Bo-gum postpones Manila fan meet

After the different earthquakes that hit some parts of the country, Love In The Moonlight star Park Bo-gum has announced that his scheduled April 27 meet-and-greet at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena in Pasay City has been postponed.

In the afternoon of April 24, Park Bo-Gum tweets to his Filipino fans, “I’d like to inform you that the event in the Philippines scheduled for April 27, Saturday, has now been postponed due to the recent earthquake. I apologize to all who have been waiting for the event and ask for your kind understanding.”

He adds in a separate post, “My heartfelt condolences and consolation to the victims of the earthquake and their families. I’ll pray for the Philippines, and may God’s protection and care always be with all people in the Philippines.

”

The 25-year-old’s management, Blossom Entertainment, declares that the event is officially rescheduled to June 22 at the same venue. In a separate statement, they tell Korean telenovela fans from the Philippines, “We offer our deepest condolences to those who suffered damage and to the families involved in this earthquake. We would like to express our apology to the many fans who have been waiting for this fan meeting. But most of all, we made this decision because we think the safety of our fans is the most important,” referring to the recent disasters that had casualties ABS-CBN and Ovation Productions, the sponsors of the event, also assured those who bought tickets that they may continue to use their passes for the new date.

Park Bo-Gum’s stop in the Philippines was part of his 2019 Asia tour entitled “May Your Every Day Be A Good Day,” which began last January in Seoul.
