Twenty-seven-year-old Kapuso actor Alden Richards is officially the owner of his own McDonald’s franchise located in Biñan, Laguna, present for the soft opening of his newest business venture last Wednesday, April 24.

Alden gushed about his branch location during the blessing and community day, his first reaction being, “I was surprised with how big it was,” referring to the two-story building on a 1,500sqm parking lot. He elaborates, “The vibe of the place every time I go there is really positive because it’s beside a university and a mall. The branch is also in a busy highway so we’re really expecting a good performance.”

Numerous of his celebrity friends came to support Alden’s McDonald’s branch, including Winwyn Marquez, LJ Moreno, Valeen Montenegro, Rodjun Cruz, Kristoffer Martin, Joyce Ching, and Bea Binene.

During the day, the actor shared a speech with his newest employees and guests, saying, “Let me share a little story on why we’re in this business venture now as a family,” citing his 23-year-old sister Riza Faulkerson as the general manager and father Richard Faulkerson being part of the staff as well, “My dream of owning my own McDonalds started when I was young. We would eat at South Super Highway Supermarket. I remember the setup – when you enter, the counter is there, when you turn right, the dining area is here. There was even a play place that was two stories high.” He continues, “It’s like that, when you’re young, we like to dream big like dreaming to have our own McDonalds branch someday,” concluding, “And then, twenty years later, here we are with our own store. The feeling of seeing your dream unfolding before your eyes is great.”

Alden also announced that the official opening to the public of his McDonald’s branch in Laguna is on Friday, April 26.
