Harvard-bound Jolo Revilla to study Executive Education Program at Kennedy School

Actor/Politician Jolo Revilla flies to Ivy League school Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S. on Monday, November 6 complete a five-day program at the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education.

He initially announced his plans to enter the program in July through an interview but has only recently shared photos and videos that of his pursuit on social media this week. In one post, the 30-year-old Revilla is seen smiling outside The John F. Kennedy School of Government, saying, “Truly honored to mark this milestone in my personal and professional life as I partake in the Executive Education for Emerging Leaders of Harvard Kennedy School.

Joining Revilla on the program are at least two other local politicians – San Juan City Vice Mayor Janella Estrella and San Juan, La Union Councilor Migz Magsaysay. Estrella shares a photo with the two on her Facebook captioned, “Before going to school with Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla and San Juan La Union Councilor Migz Magsaysay. Thankful for this opportunity.” All three politicians have filed their Certificates of Candidacy (COC) for the May 2019 elections last October.

According to the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education website, the program features “thinkers and doers from around the globe who are committed to advancing the public interest.

” With that, they grant certificates in public leadership, economic development, and nonprofit leadership. The total cost to join the session is $8,800USD or around PHP470,000.

Numerous netizens were quick to comment on Revilla participating in the prestigious program, expressing both delight that he’s “taking politics seriously” and disappointment that he is just allegedly “using money to increase credibility.” For the upcoming elections, Revilla is seeking another term as Cavite vice governor.
