MANILA — Tropical depression Tino and the easterlies will bring scattered rains over Visayas and parts of Luzon on Saturday, the state weather bureau said.

“Tino” was last eyed 305 km. west-northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, and was projected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) Saturday morning, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The bureau said “Tino” and the easterlies will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas, Bicol, Mimaropa, Cagayan, Aurora and Quezon.

The northeast monsoon affecting northern Luzon, on the other hand, will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos, Cordillera and Batanes.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers, but this is due to “localized thunderstorms”, said PAGASA.
