MANILA– Around 3,000 policemen will be deployed Monday to ensure security in anticipation of scheduled Labor Day protest rallies, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Director Oscar Albayalde said.

Albayalde said that 2,000 policemen will come from the Manila Police District while 1,000 others will come from the Regional Public Safety Battalion.

The NCRPO chief said that even if the 30th ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Summit has ended, Metro Manila will remain on “full alert status” until Monday.
