A father and his infant were killed while a woman was injured after a dump truck loaded with sand ran over the motorcycle they were riding in Quezon City on Tuesday.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Luzon Avenue and Congressional Avenue. The motorcycle was crushed beneath the heavy vehicle, leaving it severely damaged.

The infant was reportedly seven months old. The woman, who was also riding the motorcycle, sustained injuries and was taken for medical attention.

The crash prompted concern among motorists and other road users in the area, as the size and weight of the dump truck caused significant damage to the smaller vehicle.

The incident also disrupted traffic, with spilled sand and oil covering part of the roadway. Authorities had to address the obstruction as motorists experienced delays while passing through the affected area.

Investigators are working to establish how the collision happened and determine the circumstances that led to the dump truck running over the motorcycle.

Authorities are expected to examine the accounts of those involved and other available evidence as part of the investigation. Further details about the victims and the possible liability of the truck driver have yet to be confirmed.
