Deadly Russian drone strike leaves 27 dead near Kyiv

At least 27 people were killed and 42 others injured after a Russian drone strike triggered a massive explosion at a warehouse near Kyiv, according to Ukrainian officials.

More than 380 people were evacuated as emergency crews battled fires and assessed damage to nearby homes and other structures.

The blast caused widespread destruction in the affected area, while rescue teams continued searching the site and assisting displaced residents.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for an investigation into possible negligence involving the storage of ammunition near residential areas.

Authorities have opened criminal proceedings as officials examine the circumstances surrounding the deadly explosion.
