PHILIPPINES – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday led the oath-taking of the newly elected officers of the National Movement of Young Legislators (NMYL), highlighting the role of young local officials in shaping the country’s future.
The ceremony brought together young leaders from local governments, underscoring the importance of their participation in governance and public service.
The administration said empowering younger officials can help strengthen local leadership and bring fresh perspectives to the delivery of government programs and services.
The oath-taking also highlighted the partnership between the national government and local officials in addressing communities’ needs and advancing development.
As a new generation takes on leadership roles, the challenge is clear: turn youthful energy and fresh ideas into meaningful action for the communities they serve.
