UNITED STATES – Singer-songwriter and actress Ariana Grande released her eighth studio album, petal, on July 31. Following its launch, she premiered the music video for the album’s title track.

The award-winning star previously teased that petal was going to be “a little feral,” stating how she was too reluctant to tap into it years prior. The album’s lead single hate that i made you love me was released in May.

Fans have decoded the songs as reflections on Grande’s relationship with fame rather than a traditional post-breakup album. Reports also described the 12-track album as a “story of acceptance”.

Below are the songs of Ariana Grande’s petal:

kiss me
hate that i made you love me
petal
stay
oh well
big feelings
freak
warning signs (interlude)
like i do
never get over me
bad thing (bunny hop)
nowhere, nobody

Reviews described the album as darker with notes of anger, balancing quiet vulnerability with confidence. Critics also noted the recurring image of a petal as Grande’s form of armor—one rooted in softness rather than metal.
