Vice Ganda and Vic Sotto for MMFF 2026

PHILIPPINES – Noontime show and movie stars Vice Ganda and Vic Sotto appeared together in Cubao, Quezon City, on July 5 during an event to officially announce their collaboration for the 2026 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

The collaboration ended days of theories sparked by the their playful on-air exchanges on their programs, It’s Showtime and Eat Bulaga!. Supporters closely observed their witty back-and-forth, which started with Vice greeting Sotto before the veteran replied with an amusing message of a conversation.

Their upcoming film named The Greatest Showdown, will be directed by filmmaker Jun Robles Lana, who previously worked with Vice Ganda on And The Breadwinner Is and Call Me Mother. The movie is expected by fans to be the biggest entries in the 2026 MMFF.

Before the reveal, both television icons had already stated openness to working with each other if the right time came along. Supporters are now anticipating whether the movie’s promotion could also bring a crossover between the two rival noontime programs.
