CANADA – 2026’s FIFA tournament is reportedly the biggest in history, which three countries (Canada, Mexico, and the United States) uniting in order to host it. In line with this momentous event, Vancouver’s Science World decided to begin its transformation to the FIFA World Cip match ball, the Trionda.
The Trionda reportedly means “three waves” in Spanish, commemorating the significance of three host countries.
According to Adidas, the ball has four panels and a design that incorporates “the country colors of red, blue, and green to connect in a form of a triangle in the center of the panel” which symbolizes the three nations coming to host the FIFA World Cup together for the first time in history. Not only that, but it also features iconography from each of the cooperating countries: a maple leaf for Canada, a star for the United States, and an eagle for Mexico.

Vancouver unveiled “The Beautiful Dome” on June 11, just in time for the FIFA World Cup. It is a 360-degree, 40-metre recreation of adidas’ Trionda ball, made up of 131 custom-made panels.
That isn’t the only event in the itinerary, however, as Vancouver prepares for the FIFA World Cup. From May 15 to September 7, 2026, Science World also offers the Soccer and Technology exhibition from the FIFA Museum, a partnership with the Province of British Columbia.
All of the efforts are to reflect British Columbia’s goal of standing out on the world stage and creating more economic and cultural opportunities for its residents.
