OCTA: PBBM’s trust, performance ratings improve in Q1 2026

MANILA – The latest OCTA Research survey released on Monday showed that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s trust and performance ratings have increased in the first quarter of 2026.

In its Tugon ng Masa nationwide survey conducted on March 19-25, OCTA Research said President Marcos’ trust rating improved from 48 percent in the last quarter of 2025 to 54 percent, while his performance rating rose four notches to 55 percent.

Performance ratings reached majority levels in all regions, with the highest in Balance Luzon at 57 percent and Visayas at 56 percent.

By socioeconomic class, the President’s performance rating was majority among Class ABC and Class D respondents at 56 percent, and among Class E at 48 percent.

At least 26 percent of respondents have expressed dissatisfaction with Marcos’ performance, while 19 percent were undecided.

Dissatisfaction was highest in Mindanao at 37 percent, and from 26 to 28 percent across all socioeconomic classes.

Meanwhile, trust rating was highest in Balance Luzon at 59 percent, and lowest in Mindanao at 45 percent.

Trust rating was highest among Class D respondents at 55 percent, 52 percent among Class ABC, and 49 percent among Class E respondents.

At least 30 percent of respondents expressed distrust toward the President, with the highest recorded in Mindanao at 45 percent and the lowest in Balance Luzon at 22 percent.

Distrust was highest among Class ABC respondents at 39 percent.

The survey, which had 1,200 adult respondents, has a ±3 percent margin of error at a 95 percent confidence level, the OCTA said.
