Cheng Li-wun to visit China on April 7-12

TAIWAN – The chairperson of the Kuomintang Party (KMT) since November 2025, Cheng Li-wun, recently announced to the media that she accepted the invitation to visit China. It will be her first visit since assuming the seat, and she seemed to have high hopes for it, stating that she was “grateful” for the invitation and “gladly” accepted it.
She hoped that the two countries will work together in order to promote the development of peaceful relations.
Her visit is scheduled to happen on April 7-12, 2026, and she will be visiting Jiangsu, Shanghai, and Beijing.
