VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Mabuhay House Society openly invites the Filipino-Canadian community and friends to a solemn mass on April 26, 2026, commemorating last year’s April 26 Lapu-Lapu Festival tragedy.

Bearing the theme “Babang Luksa: An Afternoon of Mass, Prayers, and Remembrance”, the gathering will be held at St. Mary’s Parish Church in Vancouver from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., where the community will come together to extend its prayers and remembrance to the victims and their loved ones who still continue to grieve.

“We hope you can join us as we come together to honour the lives of the victims, support the survivors, and hold their families in our hearts through prayer and shared presence,” the group said in its announcement.

“Please RSVP so we can ensure we are able to accommodate everyone who wishes to attend,” it added.
