VANCOUVER, British Columbia — The Mabuhay House Society openly invites the Filipino-Canadian community to its scheduled “Finding Pilipino: Reclaiming Identity. Reconnecting Community” public gathering on March 28 at the Collingwood Neighbourhood House.
“This conversation centers the lived experiences of the Filipino diaspora — creating space for meaningful dialogue on identity, belonging, migration, memory, and resistance. Through research insight and artistic practice, we gather to reflect, learn, and strengthen our collective voice,” the event description reads.
“Art and storytelling are powerful tools for healing. Together, we explore how representation, research, and creative practice support mental health, solidarity, and anti-racism within our community.”
Made possible through the United Way BC Anti-Racism Initiative Grant, the event will have free admission to everyone interested, and dinner will be provided.
