REGISTER NOW: Post-Arrival Orientation Seminar for Filipino Migrants, International Students, Temporary Workers, and their spouses

The Philippine Consulate General, in partnership with the United Filipino-Canadian Associations in British Columbia, (UFCABC), University of the Philippines Alumni Association – British Columbia(UPAABC), Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants – Vancouver (PICPA), and Filipino International Student Association (FilSA), will be holding a Post-Arrival Orientation Seminar for Filipino Migrants, International Students, Temporary Workers, and their spouses on 12 July 2025 at Executive Suites Hotel and Conference Centre, 4201 Lougheed Hwy., Burnaby, BC V5C 3Y6 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

In this seminar, the following topics will be discussed by experts in their respective fields: Settlement and employment integration support for temporary residents and migrant workers; Credit Management; Income Tax; Workers rights, Canadian labor law, workplace safety, and emergency preparedness. Discussions on recent IRCC policy changes and updates on the Provincial International Credentialing Process will also be covered. Booths for various services such as legal clinics, counseling services, and other support services will also be present on site.

The seminar is free of charge but there are only a limited number of slots and they will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Lunch and refreshments will be provided for participants in the face-to-face session.

Interested participants living outside the Metro Vancouver area may also join via Zoom. Please indicate whether you would like to join the face-to-face or virtual session.
