Boracay MICE group offers travel deals to entice more tourists

MANILA – A group of Boracay businesses have launched an island-wide online travel event, offering up to 75 percent discounts in tour packages, hotels, food and dining outlets, to entice more tourists to explore what they described as a “refreshed and reinvigorated Boracay”.

Running from Jan. 15 to Feb. 15, the Boracay MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) Alliance-led (BMA) “Great Boracay Getaway” features over 100 exclusive packages from nearly 30 top-tier properties on the island.

The packages come with non-expiring vouchers, giving travelers the freedom to book at their convenience.

“This is the most beautiful Boracay has ever been.

The island has undergone significant rejuvenation since the six months of rehabilitation and its temporary closure during the pandemic,” BMA chairperson Cleofe Albiso said.

“Travelers can look forward to a destination that offers endless water activities, vibrant culinary offerings, and the most pristine beaches.

There’s much to choose from—and we want the world to know just how excited we are to welcome them back,” she added.

Some participating establishments also offer excusive door-to-door travel packages, beachfront room deals, island-hopping activities, and spa and massage vouchers.

“We are excited to offer travelers a seamless way to plan their next Boracay getaway. We’re allowing them to conveniently purchase everything they need for their trip, including non-expiring vouchers, all in one platform, which they can use when they book anytime,” said Boracay Newcoast properties area general manager Maia Israel.

The BMA is composed of leading private-sector tourism stakeholders on the island, who aim to position Boracay as a premier hub for MICE.
