MANILA – Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla has tested negative twice for the coronavirus disease 2019 but will continue to work from home and complete his seven-day isolation period.
Remulla sent a text message to reporters on Monday, saying he has recovered and will physically report for work on Thursday, July 14.
“I’m ok na. Negative na sa antigen for two days (I’m already okay. Negative in antigen test for two days). But quarantine protocol is 7 days. So working from home now,” Remulla said.
Lawyer Mico Clavano from the Office of the Secretary confirmed that Remulla issued operational instructions early Monday morning.
Remulla on Sunday said he tested positive but assured his symptoms are not severe.
He attended the first Cabinet meeting of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. in Malacañang on July 5 and tested positive for the virus on July 7.
Marcos also tested positive on July 8 but has “no fever, no loss of taste and smell sensation,” according to the Office of the Press Secretary on Sunday.
