Comelec allots P204-M budget for ballot papers, marking pens
MANILA – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Thursday announced that the bidding for the procurement of ballot papers and marking pens is now open.
In an invitation to bid, the poll body said the Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) is at PHP204,921,062 for the supply of these election paraphernalia to be used in the May 2022 National and Local Elections (NLE).
The Comelec will be needing 2,680 rolls for ballot paper and 1,946,900 pieces of marking pens.
The issuance of bidding documents has started at the Special Bids and Awards (SBAC) Secretariat Office located at 305-A 3/F Annex Building, Far East Managers and Investors Incorporated (FEMII) Building, A. Soriano Avenue, Intramuros, Manila.
The pre-bid conference will be held on July 14 while the deadline for submission of bids is on July 26 at 8 a.m.
The opening of bids is scheduled on July 26 at 10 a.m. which will be held online via Microsoft Teams.
On the other hand, the Comelec said the opening of the bids for the supplies and deliveries of Consolidation & Canvassing System (CCS) laptops and Universal Serial Bus (USB) tokens have been set on July 7 at 10 a.m.
The procurement activities will be livestreamed on the official Facebook Page of the poll body (www.facebook.com/comelec.ph).
