DOH reports 144 new recoveries from Covid-19
MANILA – Some 144 individuals successfully recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) on Tuesday, with the country’s recoveries now totaling 534,463 or 92.1 percent of all Covid-19 infections.
In its daily Covid-19 bulletin, the DOH reported 2,067 new cases of the disease, with active cases now sitting at 33,610 or 5.8 percent of all Covid-19 cases.
Of these active cases, 89.8 percent are showing mild symptoms, followed by those asymptomatic at 4.8 percent, those in critical condition at 2.3 percent, those with severe symptoms at 2.2 percent, and those with moderate symptoms at 0.58 percent.
Some 47 new deaths were also reported, with the country’s casualties against Covid-19 now at 12,369 or 2.13 percent of all infections.
Meanwhile, the majority of health care facilities in the country remain available to those infected with Covid-19, with 1,900 beds in intensive care units at 59 percent availability, 13,500 isolation beds at 66 percent availability, 6,000 ward beds at 77 percent availability, and 2,000 ventilators at 78 percent availability.
