A DOH data on Dec. 23 showed that about 1,412 or 6.2 percent out of the 22,721 tested turned positive for Covid-19.

The DOH also reported seven new deaths, bringing the death toll to 9,055.

“About 19 duplicates were removed from the total case count, and, of these, 15 recovered cases and a death have been removed. Moreover, 37 cases were found to have tested negative and have been removed from the total case count after final validation,” it said.

It also advised the public to choose staycation over going out on trips, to have limited time outdoors, and to always observe minimum public health standards.
