MANILA – The Naga, Cebu Regional Trial Court Branch (RTC) 76 is closing temporarily its office for two weeks to allow disinfection at the Hall of Justice after a court worker tested positive for the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

In a memorandum, Executive Judge Dennis Larrobis said his office is coordinating with the local government for the contact tracing of persons who may have been exposed to the court worker who had been suffering from fever before he tested positive in a swab test.

Last week, the Carcar RTC Branch 77 in Cebu was physically closed after one of its employees tested positive for Covid-19.

Executive Judge Joy Redoble said the court was physically closed from Thursday (July 2) until July 16.

“All court personnel are mandated to go on self-quarantine for 14 days as a court employee who underwent confirmatory RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) swab test has tested positive for Covid-19,” he said.

Court operations shall continue and the court can be reached through the hotline numbers or its email address.

Pleadings may be filed electronically and video conference hearings may be scheduled during the said period.
