Kris Aquino to give free laptops to chosen students

As a Father’s Day gift to her late dad, former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, Jr., Kris Aquino vowed that she will do what she can to help her fellow countrymen to get through these trying and uncertain times — which she has made true on that promise.
On her social media posts on Friday, June 26, Kris announced that she has bought eight laptops to be given away to students who do not have the capacity to purchase one which will be needed for online classes since schools remain closed due to the COVID-19 situation.
While some parents are flocking to computer stores to buy gadgets that their children will use for the virtual classes, others, meanwhile, are not sure where will they get the money to buy those devices.
Kris, who is also a mother of two kids, understands her fellow parents who are willing to do anything they can to support the academic needs of their children and give them a better life.
“Lahat ng magulang ang hangarin mapagtapos sa pag-aaral, maging maganda ang kinabukasan, at maging masaya ang mga anak nila (All parents wish that their children will finish their studies, have a bright future, and be happy),” Kris wrote.
“Homeschooling ngayon (We are homeschooling nowadays), I want to invest in the FUTURE of the Philippines. Para ito sa kinabukasan ng ating mga anak (It is for the future of our kids) – helping their EDUCATION,” she continued.
Kris gave simple mechanics to her fans on how to win a free laptop. All they have to do is to follow her social media account, like her post which she posted both on Instagram and Facebook, and then share a story about their children.
Cornerstone Entertainment also shared Kris’s post on its Facebook account, saying, “Follow Kris Aquino’s facebook page and tell her in the comment section bakit ikaw ang dapat makatanggap ng 2 in 1 laptop (why you should be given a 2 in 1 laptop).” The agency, which Kris has recently signed a new deal with, will help her choose the eight lucky winners to be announced on July 1.
Before Kris, Heart Evangelista earlier announced that she will be giving away tablets to those students in need to help them join virtual learning. She encouraged those who want to have the tablet to send her a direct message on Instagram.
