Pinoy Covid-19 patient in Greece under home quarantine: DFA
MANILA – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said a Filipino who has contracted the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in Greece is now under home quarantine.
“The Filipino national is reportedly exhibiting mild symptoms and is under home quarantine. The Embassy’s emergency number has been made available for the said Filipino,” the agency said in a bulletin dated March 18.
The Philippine Embassy in Athens continues to monitor the situation of all Filipino nationals in Greece amid the pandemic and assured extension of assistance as needed.
The DFA also confirmed that the number of Filipino Covid-19 patients in Singapore has increased to 11 as of Wednesday.
“Through information from the Singaporean Ministry of Health, the Embassy confirms that the 11th Filipino national who has tested positive for Covid-19 on 17 March 2020 is currently confined in a hospital and is in isolation,” the agency said in a separate bulletin.
The first Filipino national diagnosed as Covid-19-positive in Singapore has been given a clean bill of health and was discharged from the hospital last February 28.
Another Filipino has recovered and was discharged from hospital on March 14.
To date, there are nine active cases of Covid-19-positive Filipinos in Singapore.
