Everyone knows how much achievement Senator Manny Pacquiao has under his belt. From being a professional boxer who has been dubbed by Filipinos as their “Pambansang Kamao (Nation’s Fist)” to venturing into music, acting, and politics, having been elected to the Senate in 2016.

These were just among his accomplishments in life, but above it all, the lawmaker’s “most meaningful” one is his college diploma, which he just acquired on Wednesday, December 11.

Pacquiao graduated from the University of Makati (UMak), obtaining his degree in Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Major in Local Government Administration.

He shared the good news on his social media accounts, along with photos of his graduation rites that his wife, Jinkee, and their eldest son, Jimuel, attended.

“I dedicate this to my very beautiful and very supportive wife, Jinkee, and to our amazing children, Jimuel, Michael, Princess, Queenie, and Israel. I will also show this diploma to my Mommy Dionisia, my Dad, and my siblings and remind them of God’s faithfulness,” he wrote in the caption.

“Among my achievements, this will be the most meaningful,” he continued.

Pacquiao finished his primary education at the Saavedra Saway Elementary School in General Santos City. He, however, dropped out of high school because of poverty.

But having the eagerness to finish his studies, the lawmaker did his best to obtain his high school diploma through passing an equivalency exam in 2007 under the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Alternative Learning System.

He then enrolled in the business management program of Notre Dame of Dadiangas University (NDDU) in General Santos City in 2008.

Last September, Pacquiao shared his UMak school ID on Instagram, along with the caption, “Never stop learning because life never stops teaching.”

In an interview with ANC’s Headstart in February, he said he went back to school in Manila to finish a college degree because he ‘needed’ it to further understand the country’s situation.

In his latest post, Pacquiao said, “It is never too late to dream bigger dreams. It is never too late to accomplish our dreams.

LIVE YOUR PASSION, not just for yourself, but for your family and for our country.”

The senator hopes to be an inspiration to others who are “struggling to fight, to rise above adversity, to conquer and to embrace life and all its difficulties.”

The public, meanwhile, sent their congratulatory messages to the new graduate, including his proud wife.
