7 PNP execs designated to new posts

MANILA — Seven senior officials were included in the latest reshuffle at the Philippine National Police (PNP).

PNP officer-in-charge, Lt. Gen. Archie Gamboa approved the designation of Brig. Gen. Manuel Abu, as the new director of the Headquarters Support Service (HSS) effective Wednesday.

Abu served as Deputy Director of the PNP Special Action Force and former executive officer of the PNP Directorate for Police Community Relations.

Under his watch, he will lead the HSS to implement policies, rules and regulations governing the daily activities inside Camp Rafael T. Crame, providing an environment that is conducive to the efficient and effective pursuance of the PNP mission and functions.

Brig. Gen. Elmedio B. Tagra of the PNP Directorate for Intelligence has been designated as the deputy director of the Civil Security Group.

Meanwhile, the other senior officials who assumed new posts effective Wednesday are Col. Benjamin Acorda, acting executive Officer of the Directorate for Intelligence; Col. Luisito Magnaye, acting deputy director of the PNP Special Action Force; Col.

Rommel Francisco Marbil, Chief of Staff of the Civil Security Group, and Col. Ronaldo Cabral acting deputy regional director for Operations of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 10.

Col. Ferdinand Sifuentes, meanwhile, was named acting deputy regional director for Administration of the PRO 10 effective December 17.
