PAL welcomes LAX-MNL crew back in PH
BACK HOME SAFE. Philippine Airlines welcomes flight PR 113 Los Angeles-Manila crew members back home early Monday (Nov. 25, 2019). All crew members and passengers of flight PR 113 were safe after the aircraft encountered an engine technical problem while mid-air last November 22.

MANILA — Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Monday welcomed the cabin crew members of flight PR 113 that successfully managed to handle an engine technical problem they encountered mid-air upon take off from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) over the weekend.
“Welcome home! We are proud of all of you,” PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said.
Capt. Triston Ray Abracia Simeon, First Officer Louie Quinit, Second Officer Iris Matilde Leoncio, Second Officer Pio Paolo Gindap; Purser Joan Dirije, and other crew members, Eana Bolos, Neowy Castillo, Lorraine de Guzman, Jessica Gonzalez, Antoinette Paguntalan, FA Krizna Perrey, Laurice Rebollido, Verona Salangsang, Monina Tan, Rommel Bergado, Alinell Carlos, Victor Opinion, and Mark Penaverde arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Monday at 3:52 a.m.
Investigation is still ongoing as to what caused the engine problem.
Flight PR 113 took off from LAX at 11:45 a.m. (3:45 a.m. November 22, PST), and experienced technical difficulties while mid-air.
Videos posted online by some passengers showed the aircraft’s engine was spewing fire several times.
The aircraft safely landed back to LAX, and its 342 passengers and 18 cabin crew members were safe.
Villaluna commended the calmness of flight PR 113 passengers, as well as the professionalism of the cabin crew in opting for an emergency landing.
